Faith Christian Church and International Outreach Center is a Christ-Governed, Word Inspired, Full Gospel Church. The Word dictates the pulse, the direction and the policy in ministry. Jesus Christ is the Head of this Church and the Pastor operates under the authority that has been delegated to him by the head of the church.
God has called this local body and given us a vision of reaching out around the world to His people through total ministry. He has commissioned us to meet the needs of His people in every area of their lives, to minister salvation, healing, reconciliation, restoration, praise and worship.
Because of this vision, we refer to ourselves as:
A word church
A family fellowship
A praise and worship center
reaching out in Jesus name
In the summer of 1984, the Lord spoke to Dr. Tapscott and gave him the vision for what we know today as Faith Christian Church and International Outreach Center. The Lord declared the following mandate:
Teach my people how to walk by faith;
Teach the baptism in the Holy Spirit;
Lay hands on the sick and they shall recover;
Cast out devils in Jesus name;
Teach my people how to praise and worship me.
In addition, the vision for Faith Christian Church and International Outreach Center can be characterized in these words:
To heal the broken hearted;
To bind up the wounds;
To bring recovery of sight to the blind;
To bring deliverance to the captives;
To relieve the oppressed;
To preach the acceptable year of the gospel.
